Contact Lens Types

Daily Disposable - Contact lenses designed to be thrown away at the end of every day.
1-2 Week Disposable - Contact lenses scheduled to be discarded after 1-2 weeks
1-3 Month Disposable - Contact lenses scheduled for replacement every 1-3 months
Conventional (Vial) - Contact lenses designed to be worn daily for up to a year
Flexible/Extended Wear - Contact lenses that may be approved for (limited) overnight wear
Toric- Contact lenses designed for people with astigmatism
Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP)- Now known as Oxygen Permeable (OP) Contact Lenses
Colored and Tinted- Including both opaque contacts (for darker eyes) and enhancers (for light eyes)
Bifocal and Multifocal
